What’s your favorite chicken dish? Mine comes straight from my Mom’s heart and kitchen- A delectable Chicken Seekh dish made with vegetables and of course chicken, topped with noodles and cheese as well. Put it together in a pan or bake it in the oven, it’s your choice. Let me share this distinctive recipe with you which might also find a place in your heart and kitchen.
To make this appetizing dish you need:
Ingredients :
- Deenaji’s Chicken Boneless ½ kg
- Ginger garlic paste
- 6 eggs
- Birista (fried onion)
- Spices (turmeric, red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, readymade chicken tandoori masala powder is optional, salt and pepper)
- Coriander
- 1 Tomato cut into thin slices
- 2 medium sized fried potatoes (cut into thin slices)
- Noodles
- Grated cheese
Preparation:
Boil the chicken with a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and a teaspoon of salt. Once the chicken is boiled and cooled, shred the chicken and transfer it into a mixing bowl. Break 2 to 3 eggs and beat them well. Add the eggs into the mixing bowl on the mixture, add a good amount of birista (fried onions), add all the spices and salt and pepper as per taste. Mix in a good amount of coriander. Mix everything thoroughly with a mixing spoon or your hands.
Take a pan. Rub a little oil on your hands and spread a good amount on the entire pan, including the sides. Spread the entire mixture evenly on the pan. Spread the sliced fried potatoes and tomatoes on top of the mixture. Add some noodles and grated cheese on it. Beat 2-3 eggs in a bowl and pour the eggs evenly on the entire mixture. Cook the Chicken Seekh on a high flame for 5 min and then lower the flame. Allow it to cook on a low flame for about 10 to 15 mins. Check whether the egg has been cooked. If the egg is cooked then turn off the flame. If not, then allow the dish to be cooked for 5 to 7 mins more and then turn off the flame.
Tada it’s ready. Serve it hot with garma garam roti . I have prepared the dish myself. Turned out to be good, but not as delicious as my mom makes.
This dish can be baked as well. You can also add a little capsicum on the top along with tomatoes. Try this super yummy Chicken Seekh and serve it to your family.
